Bali. When mentioned, people conjure up images of killer waves, busy night clubs and overcrowded beaches running rampant with young suntanned partiers. But look beyond the surface and you will witness a land rich with tradition, superstition and a people whose dedication to their beliefs has helped the island to maintain their centuries old customs. Enduring the onslaught of tourists who invade their beaches each year, the Balinese continue to live their lives of deep rooted religion, important family values and respect for the spirits of the dead.
Ceremony
Devout Hindus , the Balinese put out offerings each morning resembling works of art. Fruit
and flowers beautifully arranged in palm leaves displayed in front of their shops with rich incense burning to bring good luck and to appease the spirits. Great care is taken to preserve their tradition and young and old alike continue to practice these beliefs. Everyday you will see a ceremony occur. Whether it be a wedding a birthday or an elaborate cremation, the Balinese enjoy a life full of festivities.

Just a short ride out of the main tourist destination of Kuta beach is the peaceful town of Ubud. This picturesque village situated in Bali’s interior, among lush rice terraces is a place where time stands still.
Farmers tend their paddy fields by hand as their flocks of painted ducks waddle on their land. When walking through a peaceful path, you may be stopped by a local boy who will climb a tree to offer you a fresh coconut.

Quiet cafes line the road leading to the Monkey Forest Sanctuary, a protected portion of jungle containing long tail macaques. Unlike other sanctuary’s I have visited in south East Asia, this one does not encourage the monkeys to fend for themselves. Vendors sell bananas and peanuts for profit so that visiting tourists can feed these feisty creatures. They come to expect their treats regularly causing fights among the monkeys and tourists alike.
Monkey Forest
There’s nothing like 200 macaques grooming each other, snuggling together and nibbling on
small bananas to make you realize you’re not in Kansas anymore. To find the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary ( www.monkeyforestubud.com) drive an hour north of Kuta Beach to the town of Ubud, often called the cultural heart of Bali. The monkeys, the town’s most beloved residents, live in a dense, jungley stretch of green at the southern edge of town, complete with its own temple. A word to the wise: Leave your snacks at home and don’t buy any bananas on the way in unless you enjoy being mauled by possibly rabid little tykes. When it comes to bananas, the monkeys will win. Admission is 10,000 rupiah, or about $1.10 at 9,270 rupiah to the dollar.
Fire Walker
Bali is brimming with fire dances, mask dances, trance dances, monster dances and puppet shows, all of which have been refined over the centuries to the point that eyeballs, fingertips and toes all move in elaborate choreographed precision. On a typical night in Ubud you can take your pick from a half-dozen different shows. It’s worth ducking into the Ubud Palace to watch good and evil duke it out in the Barong dance. Set in a Balinese-style pavilion, the dance is performed by two fat guys whose choreographed fight scenes draw inevitable comparisons to the WWF.

Ujung Negoro Beach
Ujung Negoro beach is lies in Ujung Negoro Village, the district of Tulis about 6,25 km from the main road of Batang to Semarang or 12 km from Batang, Central Java.
This beach of ujung Negoro is famous because of the beautiful sea with a wonderful beating waves to and from continuously. Besides the unique panorama, there is gua Atwotomo and there is also the grave of Syekh Maulana Maghribi and at every sapar ( Javanese Month ) on the 15, Syekh Maulana Maghribi is commemorated by throwing a Selamatan.
Borobudur Indonesia
Borobudur, in the vicinity of the village of Magelang, about 40 km Northwest of Yogyakarta, is one of the Wonders of the World. It is the largest Buddhist temple and it was built by one of the kings of the Dynasty Cailendra, somewhere between the end of the Eighth Century and the beginning of the Ninth. In 950, one century after its construction, Borobudur was abandoned, as were all the other Monuments of Central Java. About the same period, an eruption of the Merapi volcano buried neighbouring the temple which was to be found again only in the Nineteenth Century. This rediscovery, in 1814, was due to Sir Thomas Raffles, who was governor at the time of Java. As Sir Raffles only cleared the place, Borobudur was then looted during the following years.
Prambanan Temple
Prambanan Temple Complex is the biggest and the most beautiful Hindu temple in central
Java.It is located approximately 18 km east of Yogyakarta.
It was built around 9 century by either Rakai Pikatan, king of the second Mataram dynasty, or Balitung Maha Sambu, during the Sanjaya Dynasty of individual temples.
The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia. It is characterised by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the 47m high central building inside a large complex.
Karimun Jawa Island
Karimunjawa island is located in sub-district Jepara Regency, Central Java. This island are surrounded by sandy beaches and a number of endemic animals live on the island, it is like sea turtles lay their eggs on the beaches.
Jepara is about 75 km away from Semarang. To reach this places you can go by boat but first you must go by bus to Jepara town either from Semarang or Demak or Kudus. The karimunjawa islands are also accessible by air from Semarang, there is a regular flight which served by deraya Air taxi from Ahmad Yani Internatinal Airport-Semarang to karimunja Island and takes about 30 minutes.

Cannibal Rock – Unlike many dive sites in Komodo is breathtaking bit of action here, but in terms of color and activity, there is hardly a better place. There are so many things around the mountain to the sea, purple sea fans, anemones, corals, yellow and white spiral shape of potatoes and the sea, the color of the coat. These animated images sessile and appear all kinds of marine life include night, it’s just great. Then all rays, snappers, grunts and turtles cruising around the rocks. Yellow Wall of Texas – A signature Diving Komodo National Park, the Yellow Wall, so named because of the spread of the robust sea cucumbers – they’re all over the place and its bright yellow dominates the panorama. Not only the wall itself many promises in the way of entertainment, but sharks, manta rays and turtles are all ordinary passersby.
